Congratulations to the winner of our April Photo of the Month competition, Carol Best, with her photograph titled “View from a bridge, the Cleddau Bridge”.
Each month we encourage our berth holders, visitors and photographers of any standard to enter their photographs into our Photo of the Month competition. Entries should focus on capturing the spirit of the Milford Haven Waterway, including the boating community, scenery, wildlife, coastline and sunsets, and Milford Marina itself.
Carol’s inspiration behind her photo came to her when she was driving across the Cleddau Bridge. As she was returning home to Milford Haven, she noticed that the sea was a gorgeous colour, and the photo opportunity was too good to be missed!
Carol then parked the car and walked to the centre of the bridge and what an amazing view it was! With the panoramic views from the bridge looking up the estuary or down, Carol felt fortunate to live in the county of Pembrokeshire.
As Carol stood on the bridge, she reminisced about the old ferry that crossed between Neyland and Hobbs Point before the bridge was even built, and where her parents first met!
