Congratulations to our August Photo of the Month competition winner, Blaise Bullimore with his photo titled “Wha'd'ya mean Freckles is closed? It can't be closed”.
The inspiration behind Blaise’s winning photo was his Goldie, Cai. Cai has become very fond of Freckles, both of the staff that work there and the dried duck treats that live on the counter. Regardless of the time of day, or how recently they’ve been in, he always drags Blaise over to the door when they’re nearby. Cai takes a lot of convincing that it is closed after 3pm and will stand there hopefully, just willing the door to open in front of him.
On this particular occasion, they had been in only a short while before, had gone down to the other end of the marina for something, and were heading past the café on the way back to the car just after it had closed. His determination to go in, and his solid stare at the door, was so funny that Blaise just had to grab a picture.
Blaise was delighted to win and has chosen to spend his voucher at Freckles Cafe.
Milford Waterfront is right off the pontoons of Milford Marina and offers plenty of places to eat, shop, and enjoy when berthing, making it a perfect spot for both humans and their four-legged companions.
Each month we encourage berth holders, visitors and photographers of all abilities to enter their pictures into our Photo of the Month competition. Entries should have a focus on capturing the spirit of the Milford Haven Waterway, including the boating community, scenery, wildlife, coastline and sunsets, and Milford Marina itself.
September’s competition is still open for entries, and we’d love to see any photos you’ve taken on the Milford Haven Waterway this boating season!
