Enjoy our berth holders’ stories as we follow them over a series of short films. With a shared passion for the sea, get inspired as we follow their journeys and get a real insight into what Milford Marina has to offer. Our sheltered marina offers access to a waterway perfect for all kinds of water-based activities as well as having fantastic shore side amenities and all the facilities you’ll need to enjoy your boating.

Our short film series was produced in the summer of 2019 before current Government guidelines were introduced. This fourth and final film in our series is too good not to share this year, and a fitting way to celebrate the sea as we near the end of our summer season. Join us as we meet berth holder, James Findlay, and his friends as they enjoy a day out on the impressive DALE Nelson 38, beautifully crafted by local Pembrokeshire company Dale Sailing. By embracing the Pembrokeshire coastline on their doorstep, it only felt right for James and his friends to take up water sports as a hobby, and with a love for wake surfing, they’re able to head out of the marina straight to the haven and take advantage of the DALE Nelson model, which provides a bigger and better wake to surf on.

The Milford Haven Waterway offers 22 miles of stunning waters, providing prime conditions for both sailing and water sports activities. Our lock gates operate daily with frequent locks so, like James, when you berth your boat at Milford Marina you are able access or depart within 15 minutes. Not just perfect for wake surfing, Pembrokeshire is a paradise for all kinds of water-based sports, with plenty of spots proven popular for all levels of surfing, paddle boarding, windsurfing, jet skiing and water skiing – you truly will be spoilt for choice! To help plan your activities on the waterway safely, please take a look at the Milford Haven Waterway Leisure User Guide.

Located just outside the lock gates, our waiting pontoon, the “Mackerel Stage” is available for customers to use during the boating season, to pick up your friends and family, spend the day on the water and enjoy some vitamin sea. There are plenty of hotspots worth stopping off at, so why not create your own tour of Pembrokeshire by sea and with Dale as quick as 10 minutes away it would make an excellent first stop.

Don’t let the fun stop on land! Milford Marina is nestled within the vibrant Milford Waterfront, home to a variety of eateries, boutique shops, salons and plenty more. The marina is surrounded by a fantastic selection of places to eat with dishes and beverages to suit all tastes, whilst you’re able to unwind with the locals. Whether you’re after a long-term home for your boat or just an overnight stay, Milford Marina have got you more than covered.

The team at Milford Marina work 24 hours a day all year round, so are always on hand to assist. 2020 has certainly been an interesting year, so you can rest assured that additional sanitisation and social distancing measures are in place for the safety of all of our customers and staff, for added peace of mind.

Not only is our marina great for those glorious summer days, as the nights draw in Milford Marina offers winter berthing to keep your boat sheltered from the worst of winter’s weather conditions. If you’re not ready to throw in the towel just yet, why not extend your time on the water here at Milford Marina, make the most of the crisp sunny winter weather with less boats to share it with and even get a front row seat of our magnificent Pembrokeshire sunrises without getting up too early!

We understand that weather windows are smaller during the colder months and with our frequent locking schedule you’re able to take shelter in our marina in no time. Milford Marina also offer short-term hard standing storage and boat lifting facilities, which are great for doing maintenance and painting jobs to give your boat some TLC before the season starts again.

If James’ film has inspired you to take up a new hobby and you’re wanting to explore what the Milford Haven Waterway has to offer, contact us or pop into the office where a friendly member of our team will be more than happy to assist. Get inspired by more stories like James’ and follow more of our wonderful berth holders in this four-part series.

We could be out on the water, pull in on a high tide, 6 o’clock maybe, come out, have a bit of food in Foam, have a couple of drinks, make our way to The Harbourmaster, The Lounge, Martha’s, COCO's and then go to a local pub like Nos Da to watch a local band play
