Celebrating 30 years of Milford Marina

Hello February!

We hope you all enjoyed yourselves over the festive period and are feeling hopeful as to what this New Year will bring (fingers crossed for plenty of sailing). 2021 marks a very special occasion for us, as we celebrate Milford Marina’s 30th anniversary.

Since officially opening back in 1991 with just 225 berths, Milford Marina has evolved and flourished over the years into the marina you know today. The marina now proudly provides shelter to over 300 berths, as well as storage for up to 70 boats in our secure on-site boatyard.

As a 4 Gold Anchor rated marina, our facilities and services have gone from strength to strength over the years. With the marina now offering 24/7 fuelling facilities (diesel and petrol), hoist services, free Wi-Fi and plenty more it’s our priority to ensure we make your visit as easy and relaxed as possible.

You could say a great deal has happened over the last three decades and not just for the marina, but for life itself. We’re now living in an era where you can talk on the phone the same time as using the internet or watch TV without any ad breaks. How times have changed.

Progressions in technology just like this have aided us in developing new and helpful features that are all available on the Milford Marina website and are super easy to use. Although, there has been plenty of change over the past 30 years, one thing we’re glad hasn’t are the coastal sailing opportunities Milford Marina has to offer. The marina remains in a prime location on the Milford Haven Waterway, with the UK’s only coastal National Park right on its doorstep and wildlife-rich islands just a quick sail away; that’s tough to beat!

During these difficult and unpredictable times, we’re sure many of you are missing your dose of vitamin sea. For a little pick-me-up, why not follow some of our fabulous berth holders and their fascinating stories, and get inspired by their passion for the ocean in our four-part series of short films that were released last year.

There’s lots to look forward to as over this coming year as we will be sailing through Milford Marina’s history, starting right at the beginning where it all began. With topics ranging from interviews with some of our longest standing members of staff to tips for living onboard your vessel.
