Photo of the Month – September 2022

Congratulations to the winner of our September Photo of the Month competition, Carol Best, with her photograph titled “Old RNLI Station St Justinian's, St Davids”.

Each month we encourage berth holders, visitors and photographers of any standard to enter their pictures into our Photo of the Month competition. Entries should have a focus on capturing the spirit of the Milford Haven Waterway, including the boating community, scenery, wildlife, coastline and sunsets, and Milford Marina itself.

Carol loves photography, and with the beautiful scenery of Pembrokeshire, there is a photo opportunity around every corner! This time, Carol was walking the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path early in the morning, the sun was shining over Ramsey Island and the old lifeboat station, and Carol saw the breath-taking view and knew she had to capture that moment.

Carol wanted to pay her respects and say thank you to all of the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) staff and volunteers as she tells us how St David's Lifeboat Station was opened in 1869 and to date has been involved in saving over 360 lives in more than 420 launches!

October’s competition is still open for entries and we can’t wait to see your autumnal shots!
