Milford Marina is celebrating its 20th Anniversary this weekend. On Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st, all visitors to the marina will be able to enjoy lots of free entertainment and family activities including face painting, bouncy castle, free ice cream for children, police and fire exhibition, The AA, drift cars, boat sales, Torch Theatre exhibition, Welsh art by The Waterfront Gallery and much much more.
Businesses along Nelson Quay and Mackerel Quay are also joining in the celebrations by running special promotions and offers – a great chance to grab yourself a bargain!
Saturday evening celebrations are reserved for berth holders, visitors to Milford Marina via the water, marina staff and marina businesses.
The first marine leisure craft took residence on the pontoons in Milford Marina in 1991 and since then the Marina has gone from strength to strength, expanding from the original 225 berths to the current capacity of 330. Facilities have also improved over the years and the marina now offers every service expected of a Nationally important marine leisure facility.
Milford Marina is now looking forward to an exciting future since its owners, Milford Haven Port Authority (MHPA), entered into a marketing and investment partnership with Cardiff Marine Group to form Pembrokeshire Marine Group (PMG).
PMG intend to grow service provision at the marina to create the finest facility on the West Coast of Wales. Over the next few years the marina will see significant on-going investment from both PMG and MHPA to provide new decking and service bollards, improved shore side facilities and a new dry stack berthing facility.
Additional exciting announcements are also on the horizon.
This weekend-long celebration is to say thank you to all those that have supported and contributed to Milford Marina over the last 20 years.
