With the temperature dropping and the nights drawing in, we can say winter is certainly on the way! Although we’re usually greeted with some not-so-nice weather in December, there’s just something magical about the festive feeling in the air that lifts your spirits.
Whether you’ve already put up your Christmas decorations in your household or are waiting for the 1st December, don’t forget about your boat this year.
We welcome vessels of all sizes to enter our annual Milford Marina Christmas Boat Dressing competition. There is no right or wrong way to decorate your vessel, whether you want to go all out or keep it simple, whatever floats your boat! But please ensure all your decorations and lights are fully secure.
Our 2019 winner Paul, impressively used net lights which were tied to the para chord on his vessel “Larus”, our 2020 winners, Stephanie and Trevor really decked their deck out with their lights onboard “La Roche” and last year’s winners, Gail and Karl from Iris B2 created quite a spectacular scene with their dressed Christmas tree, inflatable Santa and colourful lights!
The judging will take place on Thursday 15th December, where we’ll be joined by the Port of Milford Haven’s Chief Executive, Tom Sawyer who will choose the best dressed boat for 2022.
The winning vessel will receive a bespoke hamper of Welsh produce from Milford Waterfront business, Trwffl!
If you would like to participate in this year’s annual Christmas boat dressing competition, please let us know by Thursday 8th December.
To get you into the Christmas spirit, Milford Waterfront will be transforming into “Milford Winterfront” this December. Whether you’re looking for things to do with the family or in need of some late night shopping, there’ll be plenty of Christmas activities to help you spread the holiday spirit.
